On 5th. December 2012 Baltic Ace sank after a collision in the North Sea with the container ship Corvus J, with the loss of 11 lives.

HMS York, Type 42 destroyer, visiting the River Tyne on 21st. July 2007

HMS York, a Type 42 destroyer built in the river Tyne by Swan Hunter at Wallsend and launched in 1982, paying a  visit to her home river on 21st. July 2007. She's tied up at Spillers Quay. Details of her eventful career are here.
